Will of Andrew Hidden of Rowley, Essex Co., MA,
dated Feb. 18, 1701/02, filed April 1702
In the Name of God Amen: I Andrew Hidden of the Town of Rowley In the County
of Essex In New England being weak of Body, but of a Sound understanding
and In a perfect Memory Blessed be God Almighty do make and Ordaine this
my Last Will & Testament in Manner as followeth That Is to Say first
and Principally I commend my Soule to God as he gave it me hopeing Through
the power and Merits of Jesus Christ my dear Savior for a happy Resurrection
and my body to be Entered into the Earth by a decent buriall At the discression
of my Executrix hereafter Named and as for that Outward Estate That God hath
been pleased to Give Unto me, after my funeral Charges & honest Debts
are payd I Dispose of as followeth.
First My Will is that my Beloved Wife Sarah Hidden shall have my whole Estate
During her Naturale Life both houseing and lands Movables and if the land
is need for her Maintenance I doo Empower her to sell all or any part of
My houseing or lands & my will is That after My wife Sarahs death
what houseing or land is Not sold for her Maintenance
I doo Give to My son Ebenezer Hidden and two Cows and my movable Estate
I do Give to My Beloved Wife Sarah, Liberty to dispose of Either in her life
or at her death to any of his children are most helpful to her in her Old
Age And I do make Constitute my beloved Wife Sarah to be whole and Sole Executrix
of this my last will and Testament And In Testimony Where of I The above
sd Andrew Hidden have Set to my hand & Seale this Eighteenth Day of Febuary
In the year Seventeen Hundred & one or two.

Wm Cresey & Samle Platts personally Appeared & Made Oath That They
wars psent & did see Andrew Hidden Signe & Seali and heard him publish
& Declare the above written Instrument to be his Last Will &
Testamt & Moses Plats Testifies that he Saw Andrew hidden
Signe & Seald the above written Instrumt. And they all Testifie that
he was then of a disposeing mind to their best understandg and that
they then subscribed as Wittnesses in his psents
